A. Rural Non-Farm Development Agency (RUDA)

RUDA (Rural Non Farm Development Agency) was established in November 1995, by the Government of Rajasthan as an independent agency to promote the Rural Non-Farm Sector (RNFS) in the State. RUDA follows a sub-sectoral, integrated and cluster based approach for promoting rural micro enterprises for rural artisans. RUDA's Mission is to promote sustainable rural livelihoods in the rural non farm sector.

RUDA, a Government of Rajasthan organization promoted for micro enterprise development, is supporting CIGs taking up micro-enterprise activities in DPIP. It is involved in :

1. Facilitating Micro-enterprise CIGs

 

2. Technical Assistance of Sub-Project prepartion

 

3. Micro-enterprise Management Training

 

4. Skill Creation and Development

 

5. Design Development

 

6. Technology up-gradation

 

7. Market Linkages & Facilitation

 

8. Resource Inventory

 
 

 

B. Indira Gandhi Panchayati Raj & Gramin Vikas Sansthan

(IGPR & GVS)

 

 

IGPR & GVS is the Apex Institute of the State set up for providing training to PRIs and Rural Development Functionaries. This Institute is also the Lead Training Agency (LTA) for DPIP. It is following a systematic approach to capacity building in the project. a field based training need assessment (TNA) was conducted by LTA to study and identify the performance probelms through verious tools and techniques. Based onn this TNA, 5 basic modules were formulated and are being implemented for the training of CIG members and other project functionaries. The modules and design briefs prepared by LTA are continuously revised as per emerging needs of the Project. The LTA is also taking support of national level training institutions and other institutions of excellence in carrying out its capicity building functions. Some of the innovations made by the LTA in capacity building efforts are :

1. Preparing of modules and training designs based on emerging needs of the Project on various thematic issues.

 

2. Selection and Training of District Training Team (DTT) members and field Level Project Functionaries.

 

3. Cration of District Capicity Building Units (DCBUs) consisting of Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs), District Project Managers (DPMs), Managers (Community Development & Training), District Project Co-Ordinators (DCPs) of NGOs and Training Coordinators of NGOs working in the Districts.

 

4. Involvement of selected NGOs and CIG members in training

 

5. Exposur visit to best practice areas.

 

6. Creation of Panchyat Resource Centers at Block level.
